2025 Asphalt Repairs and Replacement
In a community wide survey in 2021, respondents indicated their support of prioritizing the maintenance and care of the existing parks and facilities. As part of the Park District’s ongoing maintenance efforts, several projects will be taking place at Wood Oaks Green Park in the summer of 2025. Signage will be placed in the park and project updates will be posted to this webpage.
Walking Path Repairs
A two-day project is scheduled for early June to replace a section of the walking path. This section is located from the main entrance off Sanders Road, heading south to the three-way path intersection (see map). The project is scheduled for June 9 to 10 and should only take a few days.
South Parking Lot Replacement
A project to replace the parking lot located off Walters Avenue at the south end of the park is scheduled to begin in August. Engineering took place in 2024 and the lot will be removed and replaced in 2025. The original south parking lot was installed in 1994, is 31 years old and is approaching the end of its useful life. The replacement in August will take approximately six weeks. The south parking lot will be closed for this project. Watch for additional information on park access and parking in the coming weeks.
