Formerly the Indian Ridge School, the Leisure Center opened in the 1980’s. Based on community feedback, the facility was renamed the Northbrook Community Center in 2025. This multi-age facility serves as headquarters for recreation programs for children, adults and seniors in Northbrook. The Center hosts general recreation classes, Sunshine Preschool, special events, birthday parties and rentals. The building is also home to the Senior Center and Northbrook Theatre.
The facility is scheduled to reopen following a major renovation in summer 2026.
