The Northbrook Park District’s Dog Training classes will teach you how to effectively train your dog while getting your dog to adapt to your schedule and lifestyle. These classes are inappropriate for reactive puppies to people or other dogs. Dog training classes are provided by Coachable Canines with a certified professional dog trainer. The class sizes are kept small in order to keep distractions at a minimum and to maximize the instruction that each pet parent receives.
Ages: 2-4 months

Join us for a class designed to provide young puppies with a well-rounded and enriching experience during their crucial early months of life (2-4 months). This program focuses on three key components: training, exploration, and play, all of which are essential for a puppy’s physical, mental, and emotional development. Only positive reinforcement training methods are used. Proof of the first round of vaccinations at least 10 days prior to starting class must be provided.
Ages: 4 Months and Older

Training your dog using positive reinforcement methods help you to communicate effectively and build a trusting relationship with them. In this class, dogs five months and older will learn the building block behaviors of sit, down, leave it, drop it and more. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations are required prior to starting the program.
