Northbrook Park District maintains three locations with outdoor fitness stations: Greenview Park, Floral Park and Crestwood Park. The fitness equipment at Crestwood Park is from a 2013 Park renovation project that included the playground and tennis courts. Due to the moving parts and use of the fitness equipment, staff have had to remove two of three pieces in 2025 and will most likely remove the third piece in 2026.
The Park District Board of Commissioners have approved replacement of the fitness equipment at Crestwood for 2026. This project will be coordinated alongside the West Park Improvements Project and the updates at Oaklane Park, and should be completed by end of summer 2026.
The fitness equipment container will not be changed. The Park District is looking for ways to maximize space and add as many pieces as possible. The surfacing will be upgraded to a synthetic turf, same as many of the recent playground renovations.
