Athletic Courts & Fields

The Northbrook Park District maintains and manages 9 basketball courts, 22 outdoor tennis/pickleball courts and 27 baseball/softball fields located throughout various parks for the enjoyment of Northbrook residents and visitors. On a regular season, outdoor athletic facilities are open from early-April until mid-October, although the District occasionally reserves courts and fields for private lessons, tournaments, schools and league play. Courts and fields are generally open from sunrise to sunset.

For athletics facility rental information for your next game or practice, visit the Rentals section of our site or call 847-291-2993.

Court Rentals

To guarantee the availability of an outdoor court, we recommend you rent a court. The fee is $15/hour per court for residents and $20/hour per court for non-residents. If a court is not being used for programming or rentals, courts are available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Private instructors must be issued a permit before conducting lessons. Wind screens will be up prior to the end of May.

Reserve a Court Online

Alternatively, a court rental request can be submitted by completing an Application For Facility Use Form and staff will process the application within three business days. If you have any questions about court rentals, please call 847-291-2993 or email Matt Papale.
