Volunteers Wanted: Join our Team!
We love volunteers at the Northbrook Park District! They help keep our programs running smoothly throughout the year and allow us to control costs. Each season, we organize special events for the community that could use your energy and enthusiasm. And, we need coaches for youth sports. If you want to get involved in the community, consider volunteering with the Northbrook Park District. We value your time and talent and will help you find a role that is rewarding and fun.
• All prospective volunteers must complete a volunteer interest form prior to beginning any work as a volunteer. Complete the form here.
• All volunteers are subject to a criminal background investigation. (For volunteer coaching, a criminal background investigation will be submitted each season. If you coach multiple teams, only one form must be completed.)
• Volunteers will attend a meeting to pick up equipment and discuss rules, safety, emergency procedures and expectations.
The Senior Center welcomes volunteers to help with programs, reception, clerical duties, answering phones and setting up for parties and lunches. Each spring, the Northbrook Park District throws a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, with entertainment and a ceremony to thank the volunteers who make the Senior Center a warm and friendly gathering place.
Be a role model! If you enjoy sports and working with young people, consider becoming a volunteer coach for one of our youth leagues. We’ll provide free clinics to train you, and you’ll play an active role in developing young athletes. Share your love of the game and help spread the word that winning is more about sportsmanship than scores.
Don’t see an ongoing opportunity that interests you? Complete the volunteer interest form to specify your interests and desire to get involved! If we have an opportunity that matches, we will contact you.
