Children can test their running and biking skills at the Northbrook Park District’s 11th annual Kids’ Duathlon taking place Friday in Northbrook. The event is open to children ages 5 to 14 and takes place from 6-9pm on Friday at the Ed Rudolph Velodrome and includes post-race pizza, drinks and dessert, plus admission to nearby Meadowhill Aquatic Center. New Counselors for Adventure Campus Eligible for $700 Bonus

The park district is currently hiring for the next Adventure Campus session, which offers supervised activities for children in kindergarten through 5th grade from late August to early June. Starting pay is $15 to $20 per hour and benefits include parks and recreation perks, such as a free pool pass, free gym membership, golf play and more. New hires are eligible for $700 in bonus pay if they can begin work at 2:30 p.m., work five days a week and apply before July 9.…
