If you enjoy in-line skating or skateboarding, you will flip for the skate park in Techny Prairie Park and Fields. With ramps, bowls, grinding ledges and rails, the 22,000-square-foot skate park welcomes skateboarders and in-line skaters of all ages. The Northbrook Skate Park is all concrete and large enough to accommodate both beginners and experienced skaters.
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Helmets and other protective equipment are required. Open daily from dawn until 10pm, the park is unsupervised and participants skate at their own risk. Private skateboarding lessons are available. Contact Isaac Urow for more information.
Skateboarding Classes
Northbrook Park District partners with Asylum Skate to provide skateboard classes, camps and private/semi-private skateboard lessons.
