Outdoor facilities are available for picnics, parties, corporate events and more. Rental applications and permit fees must be final prior to use of Park District property by any organized groups or businesses.
Park & Shelter Rentals
Parks and shelter areas are available to rent seasonally. Special rates may apply to resident school and scout groups; policies and fees are subject to change.
Required Permits for Special Use Events
The Park District offers its parks and facilities for private rentals. If an individual, group or organization is planning an event for more than 100 people or for a special use, such as a fundraiser or tournament, all Park District, Village and State ordinances and timelines must be followed. Special permits are required for advertising (signage), fundraising, gambling (raffles), and soliciting for any purpose, and selling of services or materials, such as apparel or food. Special event rates may apply. A minimum of 60 days is needed for processing.

Available for rent at Wood Oaks Green Park, Techny Prairie Park and Fields, Village Green Park, and other park areas.

Required Permits for Events at Parks and Shelters
- Permits are required to reserve the space.
- Rental fees are due before a permit is issued.
- Groups can grill only in areas with District grills.
- Smoking and gambling are not permitted.
- Alcohol requires a special permit and is available for Bluegill Shelter only.
- Rental groups may be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance.
- Security deposit may be required.

- After you submit the completed application, staff will contact you regarding your request within 3‐5 business days. Additional forms may be required to finalize your use.

Bocce Ball Courts
Looking for a fun activity for family or friends? Reserve the Bocce Court at Indian Ridge Park for $9/hour for residents and $15/hour for non-residents.
Softball/Baseball Fields
Planning a corporate outing or tournament? The Northbrook Park District has several ball fields for rent including lighted fields at the following locations: Techny Prairie Park and Fields, Meadowhill Park and Village Green Park.
Ed Rudolph Velodrome
Take to the track, an official quarter-mile banked track with lights for evening riding. An indoor space is also available.
Tennis/Pickleball Courts
Hourly Fee: $17 per court resident/$22 per court non-resident
Players or groups can rent the hard courts at the following locations: Wood Oaks Green Park, Crestwood Park, Oaklane Park, Williamsburg Park, West Park. Pickleball courts are available at Stonegate Park.
Soccer and Lacrosse Fields
Teams and groups can rent the turf fields at Techny Prairie Park and Fields, 1750 Techny Road, for soccer or lacrosse games or practice.
