Prepare for a diverse lineup of fall activities—the Northbrook Park District’s online Autumn Guide will be available for residents on Wednesday, July 27!

The Guide features a variety of programming for all ages, including athletics, art, golf, fitness and senior activities. The Guide will be mailed to residents’ homes beginning August 4, but program registration opens early for residents on July 27 at 9:00am. Registration for non-residents starts August 10.

Exciting events coming to town this year include Party on the Green, Autumnfest, the Halloween Pet Parade and 3K Fun Run with Northbrook Brewfest, the second annual craft beer-centered extravaganza, on September 10. Adults 21+ can enjoy beer tasting, entertainment, games and fun. Tickets sell out quickly, so be sure to grab yours when ticket sales open on Wednesday, July 27.

Northbrook Theatre Youth Company actors ages 8 to 13 bring their talent and hard work to fruition when they perform Newsies JR. this Autumn. Auditions will be held August 22 and 23, with performances occurring in late October. To register for auditions, visit nbparks.org/theatre.

Fall athletics are back for another thrilling season! The District offers multiple youth leagues spanning every age range and welcoming all abilities. Register for Soccer, Flag Football by August 5 to receive the early registration discount. Early registration for Basketball ends September 5.

Adult athletics including Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Pickleball, and Tennis begin accepting registrations on July 27.

If you’re more interested in getting on the ice, Northbrook Park District has transitioned to the Learn to Skate USA class curriculum to provide a fun and positive experience that will instill a lifelong love of skating. Learn to Skate USA is fully supported by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and U.S. Speedskating with support from Special Olympics, the Professional Skaters Association and the U.S. Ice Rink Association. Seniors have much to look forward to this Autumn as well, from Super Senior Day on August 30 to Halloween Lunch and Bingo on October 28.
