Year started on Board: 2023

I serve on the Board because: My service on the Park Board is motivated by my desire to give back to the community, informed by my professional skills as a professional planner and local government attorney and particularly serving on a local government body that has a hugely positive impact on the overall quality of life in Northbrook as its primary provider of passive and recreational amenities.

Favorite event at the District: I cannot say I have on favorite event sponsored by the Park District, but I can definitely say that the breadth and scope of the Park District’s programming has provided many opportunities for my family to meet and interact with people throughout the Village, while also providing recreational outlets that have served my family and their evolving interests from when our kids were toddlers through high school.

Favorite park at the District: I cannot say that I have one favorite park, but I most frequently visit Wood Oaks Green park to walk the park and play tennis. I also enjoy the community center that is Village Green Park and love its community vibrancy in the warmer weather months. I have played soccer and lacrosse at Techny Fields and I enjoy playing golf at Anetsberger and Heritage Oaks.

Current profession: I am a partner with the Chicago law firm Ancel Glink, P.C. and I specialize in general local government, land use and economic development law.

Family: I have been married to my wife, Rachel, for 30-years. She is a management consultant. Our three kids are all graduates of Glenbrook North High School. Our son Aaron is a graduate of Indiana University, currently living in Chicago, and works for a large multi-national insurance company in its reinsurance division at its main office in the Loop. Our daughter Lilly is a junior at the University of Iowa, studying Communications and Sociology. Our youngest daughter, Dena, is a freshman at Colorado State University and will be pursuing a Political Science degree.
