The annual Light Up the Night family dance offered by the Northbrook Park District will be back Friday, February 6 at a new high-end venue.

The evening will feature dinner, DJ music, a photo booth, a variety of games and an ice cream bar at Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel opens in new tab in Northbrook.

This memorable event — which has become a cherished tradition for many Northbrook families — welcomes children and their loved ones, including parents, grandparents, relatives or other important adults in their lives.

“Light Up the Night is an evening devoted to celebrating meaningful connections and creating lasting memories,” Northbrook Park District Recreation Supervisor Jeremy Goedeke said. “It is a privilege to host an event that brings our community together in such a joyful and memorable way.”

Jessica Berger-Rotman said her daughters, Sasha, age 9, and Jorah, age 5, love going to the dance with their father. Some of Sasha’s friends will be there, too.

“They look forward to dressing up and dancing together. Both my girls love this Valentine’s Day tradition.”

The dance was held at a park district facility last year, after being held at a local hotel in prior years. This year, it will be held again at a hotel, albeit a different one.

Light up the Night takes place from 6:30pm-9pm on Friday, February 6 at Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel, 933 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook.

The cost is $165 for residents and $209 for nonresidents for each adult/child pair. Additional children are $79 for residents and $99 for nonresidents.
