If you want to see your child’s face light up, watch them touch and explore a variety of trucks and emergency vehicles during Touch-A-Truck in Northbrook, a longstanding family favorite.

The free event, offered by the Northbrook Park District in partnership with UL Solutions opens in new tab, takes place 10am-12pm on September 23 at Underwriters Laboratories, 333 Pfingston Road in Northbrook. The location will offer ample parking and plenty of space for families to roam around and check out the awesome lineup of vehicles.

The park district will bring Case and John Deere tractors, a golf course rough mower, a dump truck, a plow truck, Kubota and Gator utility vehicles, a box truck, an Olympia ice resurfacer, a bobcat and a golf cart.

A variety of agencies and businesses will join in the fun and put their vehicles on display.

There will be a bucket truck from Advanced Tree Care; a red-and-white concrete mix truck from Ozinga; a flatbed tow truck from Grosse Pointe Towing; two school buses, including a wheelchair-accessible one, from First Student; a fire engine and an ambulance from the Northbrook Fire Department; two squad cars from the Northbrook Police Department; and a dump truck with snowplow, a street sweeper and a Vactor vacuum truck from the Northbrook Public Works Department.

Northbrook Bank and Trust opens in new tab is the event’s presenting sponsor. KGH Autism Services opens in new tab is the gold-level sponsor.

All participants under the age of 13 will receive a free pizza coupon courtesy of Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria opens in new tab. Culver’s Restaurant opens in new tab will provide baskets as raffle prizes. Also, fun hats will be available for the little ones.
