Score a goal, hit a home run or swing a racquet this spring at the Northbrook Park District.

The Park District offers a variety of adult athletic programs including soccer, softball and pickleball.

“Northbrook Park District has so much to offer for adults who want to stay active, learn a new sport or compete,” said Ian Booker, Recreation Supervisor. “Our adult sports opportunities are also a great way to get outside and socialize as the weather gets warmer.”

Soccer
Open Soccer is held at Techny Prairie Park and Fields, 1700 Techny Road, with games beginning April 2. Following a brief warm-up, players divide into teams for games Tuesdays from 8-10pm. Register here.

Softball
The regular season consists of 10 games, played at various locations, plus a single elimination playoff. Registration deadline for Softball Leagues is April 5 at 5pm. Men’s 12”, Men’s 16” and Co-Rec 14” softball leagues are available. Call 847-291-2980.

Pickleball
Grab your paddle and head to a Pickleball Skills Clinic, where classes begin April 7 and April 17 at Greenbriar Gym at Greenbriar School, 1225 Greenbriar Lane. Drop-in Pickleball also is available at the Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Avenue and Greenbriar Gym. Pickleball fans also can take their game to our outdoor pickleball courts at Crestwood Park, 1824 Milton Avenue, Wood Oaks Green Park, 1150 Sanders Road, Williamsburg Square Park, 200 Lee Road and Stonegate Park, 3425 Whirlaway Drive. Bocce Ball
Play bocce with family and friends. Bring your own bocce equipment or check out bocce balls at the Leisure Center front desk during office hours, Monday-Thursday, 9am to 8pm; Friday, 9am-5pm; Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday, Noon-4pm.
