The Northbrook Sports Center is home to two year-round NHL-size ice rinks, dance rooms and rental facilities and offers a wide variety of opportunities for all ages.

Monthly Cosmic Skating events are scheduled at the Northbrook Sports Center. These fun family nights include ice skating, DJ music, games and activities for all ages. Cosmic Skating will be held on November 13, January 22, February 19 and March 12 from 7-9pm at the Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road. The fee is $7 per person and skate rental is available for $3.

Public Skating hours have also been expanded to include Mondays from 10:30am-Noon, Fridays from 4:50pm-6:10pm, and Saturdays & Sundays from 1pm-2:30pm. Daily admission is $6 for adults ages 18 and up, $5 for youth ages 5-17 and $3 for children under 5 years old. Skate rental is available for $3. Ten-visit swipe cards provide reduced fees; prices are $55 for adults, $45 for youth and $25 for 10 skate rentals. Skaters need to be in the Northbrook Park District registration system to purchase swipe cards. Public skating will not be held on certain holidays – visit nbparks.org for the complete schedule.

A variety of other indoor ice programs is also available in the Northbrook Park District Winter Guide which will be mailed to residents and posted at nbparks.org on November 12. Watch for more information on the Try Skating for Free program on December 4, Skating School lessons, Learn to Speedskate Class, Freestyle Sessions, Off-Ice classes, Open Hockey, Instructional Hockey and the 52nd Annual Northbrook-On-Ice performances. Summer camp opportunities include Skate and Dance Camp and Hockey Training Academy. Resident registration opens November 17 and non-resident registration opens November 24.

Northbrook Park District continues to follow local, state and national COVID-19 guidelines and mandates; at this time, masks are required for all indoor events and programs.
