After opening to the public only 15 months ago, the Techny Prairie Activity Center (TPAC) will host an Open House this Saturday, April 23, from 8am-1pm. The free admission event aims to introduce potential members to TPAC’s many services and amenities. Located at 180 Anets Drive, TPAC is home to a fitness floor with cardio, strength and functional fitness equipment, two group fitness studios with a variety of in-person and virtual group fitness options, indoor track and stretching area, and a gymnasium. TPAC is also Northbrook’s only Net-Zero facility, which means the building produces all the energy it needs to run by-way-of its sustainable infrastructure.
The Open House will host a special group fitness schedule filled with featured classes open to all, fun activities for kids in the Kids’ Corner, and drawings, vendors, and presentations. All Open House activities will be free for non-members, so attendees are welcome to bring friends and family to try out the facility’s various amenities.
The Kids’ Corner opens at 7:45am for attendees with children that are interested in group fitness classes beginning at 8am. While parents are welcome to drop off children, they must stay in the building. Reservations for the Kids’ Corner are recommended but not required. Call 847-897-6180 to make a reservation.
