Brewfest is coming back with delicious craft beer tasting and great music at Northbrook Park District’s Village Green Park for the third year in a row.

The event from 3 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 9 will feature 15 breweries along with food and live entertainment. It is presented by the Northbrook Park District and the Village of Northbrook.

“The Northbrook Park District is excited to partner with the Village to bring Brewfest back to the Village Green Park,” Northbrook Park District Board President Lisa Chalem said. “This event, featuring beer tasting and live music, has been a huge success, and brings adults together to enjoy our community and our parks.”

“The Village of Northbrook is known as a community where you can have some serious fun and Brewfest is a perfect example of that tradition,” said Village President Kathryn Ciesla. “We thank the Northbrook Park District for the partnership, and we hope that residents and visitors come out to Village Green Park and have a blast.”

The event is always a great time for everyone, Northbrook Park District Recreation Supervisor Mary Mucci said.

The variety of beer will include lagers, stouts and IPAs, and there will be ciders and hard seltzers, as well as non-alcoholic beer. There will be food for purchase from Culinary Gangster, which has an appetizing menu of burgers, gyros and fries. There will also be free giveaways and prize drawings.

The popular rock cover band Infinity will bring great energy to delight the crowd with its selection of classic and current hits from Journey, Queen, Boston, Bruno Mars and more.

A realistic tattoo artist will give temporary airbrush tattoos and a magician will do card tricks. This year, there is an exciting new twist: rather than anyone having to leave their tables or picnic blankets, the magician will roam the grounds to interact with guests, Mucci said.

“It’s a great event for anybody who wants to enjoy a nice evening in the park with friends, neighbors or relatives,” she said.
