David Zizic is a versatile artist in the Chicagoland performing arts scene. David is no stranger to Northbrook, having recently worked at Northbrook Theatre as Music Director for the Theatre for Young Audiences, Northbrook Theatre Children’s Company and Site Director for summer music and theatre camps. He also holds the position of Northbrook Park District Performing Arts Coordinator.
David was formerly Director of Music & Theatre at Virtuoso Performing Arts. He has also coached students in many acting and voice competitions. David was Music Director and accompanist for Tall Ship Adventures’ acclaimed production of “The Pirates of Penzance” on Lake Michigan, and has sung professionally throughout the Chicagoland area as a soloist and chorister. David is currently the Music Director and accompanist at the historic Bethany Union Church of Chicago.
For vocal technique, David focuses on vowel formation, breathing and diction. From many years of teaching experience, he’s able to streamline the warm up and technique process in order to maximize time devoted to singing songs. Although he has a strong background in musical theatre, he is comfortable coaching a variety of musical styles. He helps each student put together a binder of songs that they can confidently perform.
