For more than 40 years, the award-winning Northbrook Theatre has presented “theatre by youth for youth.” Youth Company actors are ages 8 and up performing plays and musicals enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences is dedicated to presenting the highest quality shows to and for young people and family audiences. All productions are performed by professional actors who seek to inspire imagination, develop creativity and build community. These productions can serve as wonderful introductions to live theatre but also be enjoyed by the most active theatergoers.
Northbrook Community Theatre
Northbrook Theatre’s award-winning Community Theatre program welcomes community members of all ages and abilities to take the stage with family, friends, and neighbors. Community Theatre productions have included Oliver!, It’s A Wonderful Life: Radio Play, Mary Poppins, Newsies and more!
Bright Star Theatre Company
The Northern Suburban Special Recreation Association (NSSRA) opens in new tab produces this theatre program for teens with special needs. Participants are joined by volunteer Creative Companions (CCs) and Northbrook Park District Theatre staff to help facilitate a community production.
