I am going to the Theatre to see a play. The play will be at the Theatre inside the Leisure Center building. I will enter the building through the front, side or back entrance.
My family or group will drive, take a bus, or walk to the Theatre. If we drive to the Theatre, we will park in the parking lot. If we walk or take the bus, I might see a stranger, but I should stay with my family or group at all times.
To get to the Theatre, I will go through the Theatre lobby. The lobby has couches and tables for waiting if we get there early.
We need tickets to see the play. My family might have these on their phones, or we might pick up our tickets at the Box Office.
I might need to use the bathroom before, during, or after the play. There are bathrooms down the hall by the Box Office.
I might get thirsty. If I want to get a drink from the water fountain, I can find it near the bathroom.
When it is time to go into the theatre, an usher will scan my ticket. If I need a large-print program, I can get one at the Box Office.
I will go into the theatre with my family to find our seats. If we need help, there will be another usher there to assist us.
The play will be on the stage, but I will not go on the stage. I will watch the play from my seat.
If I need to leave the Theatre, I can go out the same way I entered, but I will walk slowly.
Sometimes seeing a play can be overwhelming. If I need to take a break, I can sit in the lobby with my family.
There will be bright lights in the show that will change color and flash. The lights may even go all the way off, but they will turn back on. There will be music and sounds that might sometimes be loud. If they are too loud, I can cover my ears.
There are many actors in the play. The actors are wearing costumes and pretending to be characters.
Halfway through the show, there might be an intermission. An intermission is a 15-minute break from the play.
At the end of the play, the actors will come out onto the stage and bow. The people watching will start clapping. I can clap with them!
At the end of the play, I will leave the Leisure Center with my fam
