Northbrook Park District offers Basketball leagues for a variety of ages and skill levels this Fall. Sign up by October 3 to receive a 10% discount on registration fees.

Northbrook Park District’s Little Jammers basketball program and the Youth Basketball League serve girls and boys in kindergarten through grade 8 with a philosophy of athletes first, winning second. The objective is to provide enjoyable experiences for children while developing their basketball skills in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork and sportsmanship.

Little Jammers
The Little Jammers basketball program serves girls and boys in kindergarten and first grade. Dates, times, and locations may change based on school availability. Teams practice and play on Saturdays and participate in a five-game season. Little Jammers starts for the season October 29.

Youth Basketball League
The youth basketball program serves girls and boys in grades 2-8. Dates, times and locations may change based on school availability. Teams practice during the week and play on Saturdays. Athletes will participate in a seven-game season. The Youth Basketball League starts for the season on October 29.

Hot Shots Basketball Skills Clinics
Sign up for Basketball 101 or 201 and develop early basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling and passing, along with the basic rules of the game. Or, register for Game Time where players are challenged through various games including 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5.

“We are excited to welcome a new year of basketball and get onto the court,” said Recreation Manager Meri Shea, adding “it’s a blast to watch and cheer on the different teams from Kindergarten all the way through 7th and 8th grade boys and girls teams.”
