Substitute Dance Instructor

Pay: $25+/hour DOE

2-6 hours per week, exact hours may vary Saturday Morning/Afternoons, Occasional Weekdays

Provide dance instruction to participants. Create and implement dance curriculum for specific dance styles. Prepare participants for end of session shows or recitals as needed. Communicate with parents on a regular basis.

 

Drama Instructor

Pay: $35+/hour DOE

3–6 hours per week, exact hours may vary Saturday mornings, weekday afternoon availability preferable

Lead and supervise class participants 2–12 years old. Prepare all participants for a theatrical performance complete with staging, music and dance. Implement a lesson plan to provide an educational and varied drama experience. Communicate with parents on a regular basis. Edit a script to fit the needs of participants and create theatrical experiences from children’s story books.

 

Specialty Drama Instructor: Stage Combat

Pay: $40+/hour DOE

Monday afternoons in July

The Stage Combat Instructor will teach foundational techniques to young performers aged 8–13. With a focus on safety and skill development, they will provide engaging and interactive lessons that empower performers to embody characters and execute choreographed fight sequences with confidence and precision.

 

Summer Camp Counselor: Visual and Performing Arts

Pay: $15+/hour DOE

Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, June 10–August 2

Provide direct supervision to a group of campers. Implement a variety of activities structured to provide quality recreational experiences for campers. Counselors also act as a liaison between parents, children and Recreation administration.

 

Theatre Arts Workshop Camp Director

Pay: $25+/hour DOE

Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, July 8–August 2

Responsibilities include overseeing and advising campers as they put together a short, devised musical. The Director is responsible for leading devising amongst the cast, helping to cultivate the cast’s vision, and leading the execution of a short (20–30 minute) devised musical by the end of the camp week. Director will collaborate with production team members to develop a production concept and design for final performance. Director will complete this process four times over the course of the four weeks of camp.
