When school is out for winter break, spring break and school holidays, kids can take part in field trips and fun-filled days at the Park District. Scheduling includes arts and crafts, sports and games, and snacks. Extended Care is available before and after each program. Qualified District staff supervise this program.
Spring Break Activities
Flex Reg Process! Our online registration system allows you to register your child for one or more days of Spring Break Escapes, Spring Break Arts Escapes or Spring Break Multi-Sports Camp. Simply follow these easy steps:
1. Choose the activity: Spring Break Escapes, Spring Break Arts Escapes or Spring Break Multi-Sports Camp
2. Select individual days or the full-week program
3. Choose the days you need AM Care and/or PM Care
4. Complete your transaction!
SPRING BREAK AM & PM CARE
AM Care is available from 7-9am and PM Care is available from 3-6:30pm, supervised by qualified staff and offering arts and crafts, sports and games, along with a snack. Drop off and pick up occurs at the Leisure Center. Busing is provided from the Leisure Center for AM care and to the Leisure Center for PM Care for Spring Break Multi-Sports Camp.
SPRING BREAK ESCAPES (AGES 5-12)
Join us for field trips and fun from 9am to 3pm during the school vacation. Children should bring gym shoes and nut-free lunch, unless otherwise noted. Registration for all trips will close on March 16.
Monday, March 23 – Safari Land, Villa Park, Pizza & soda provided
Tuesday, March 24 – Museum of Science & Industry, Chicago, Bring nut-free lunch
Wednesday, March 25 – Volo Auto Museum, Volo, Bring nut-free lunch
Thursday, March 26 – Top Golf, Schaumburg, Bring nut-free lunch
Friday, March 27 – 360 Chicago Tilt, Chicago, Bring nut-free lunch
SPRING BREAK ARTS ESCAPES (AGES 5-12)
This 9am-3pm camp features music, dance, art, cooking and field trips! The daily schedule is announced in the Spring Guide with trips to musical productions and museums along with activities in art, drama and dance.
SPRING BREAK MULTI-SPORTS CAMP (AGES 5-12)
This 9am-3pm camp at Greenbriar Gym at Greenbriar School is ideal for children who want to have fun with a variety of sports and related activities. Extended Care is available at the Leisure Center before and after each session; transportation is provided. Campers should wear gym shoes and bring a nut-free lunch and a drink. Select individual days or the full-week program.
We also offer a variety of activities during days off from school throughout the year, i.e. parent-teacher conferences, holidays, etc. To find your school district and corresponding activities, click here.
