Recreation opportunities will soon be underway as the state moves into Phase 3 of the Restore Illinois plan.

The Northbrook Park District June Online Guide is now available online featuring both in-person and virtual programs for all ages. To view the June Online Guide and register for programs, click here.

“Being able to welcome people back for programs, even at a limited capacity, is an amazing feeling after being closed since mid-March,” said Eileen Loftus, Director of Recreation. “Whether you want to enjoy an outdoor fitness class, take a golf lesson or provide the kids with a traditional in-person camp experience, there are so many options to choose from this summer! Additionally, we have an excellent selection of quality virtual programs to keep families active and engaged at home.”

Activities include in-person Summer Camps beginning June 15 for ages 8-13, offering sports, games, crafts and cultural arts. The registration deadline for Session 1 camps is Thursday, June 4 at 5pm. Several virtual camps for ages 2-13 begin June 15 and include enrichment activities, arts and crafts and virtual field trips.

In-person, outdoor instruction programs include:

  • Golf
  • Group and Private Fitness
  • Tennis and Pickleball
  • Youth Volleyball
  • Skateboarding

Virtual activities include:

  • Performing Arts/Theatre
  • Group Fitness
  • Senior activities
  • General Interest classes for ages 4 through adult

Youth, adult, senior and family memberships are now available at Anetsberger Golf Course along with a variety of golf leagues and lessons. Northbrook Dog Park membership applications for 2020-2021 will be accepted starting June 15.
