Playtime, field trips and active fun await at Northbrook Park District during winter break.

Registration is underway for a variety of options, from games, crafts and excursions to ice skating, hockey and gymnasium sports. Activities include the full day Winter Break Escapes and Winter Break Multi-Sports Camp. AM and PM Extended Care also is available.

“Winter break activities are an excellent way to enjoy time off from school,” said Recreation Supervisor Taylor Witter. “Our Winter Break Escapes and Winter Break Multi-Sports Camps have flexible registration, so you can sign up for individual days or the full week.”

Upcoming activities include:

• Winter Break Escapes, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Dec. 26-28, and Jan. 2-4 the Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Ave. Field trips include Top Golf in Wood Dale, Family Fun Center in Waukegan, Earth & Space Center in River Grove, SciTech Hands on Museum in Aurora, Brunswick Zone in Mount Prospect and Enchanted Castle in Lombard. (ages 5-12)

• Winter Break Multi-Sports Camp, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Dec. 26-28, and Jan. 2-4 Greenbriar Gym at Greenbriar School, 1225 Greenbriar Lane. (ages 5-12)

• Winter Break Skate and Dance Camp, Northbrook Sports Center, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2- 4, Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road, (ages 5-17)

• School’s Out Hockey Training Academy, 9 a.m. to noon, Dec. 26-28 and Jan. 2-4 , Northbrook Sports Center, 1730 Pfingsten Road (ages 5-9 and 9-13)
