Project Completed – 100% Completion
The wood floors in the Leisure Center Dance Studio and Wood Oaks Room, a total of 3,122 square feet, are due for replacement. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, April 10 with estimated completion by the end May.
These rooms are used for a variety of purposes including increasingly popular dance programs and rehearsal space for Northbrook Theatre productions. For optimal program experience, the floors will be replaced with a floating or sprung wood floor to reduce impact.
With community input, the District completed and adopted a ten-year Comprehensive Master Plan which includes an annual Capital Improvement Plan. Community input conducted with this planning has indicated a priority for maintaining the District’s current assets. This project is one of several repair and replacement projects planned for 2023 as Northbrook Park District continues to enhance our community by providing outstanding services, parks and facilities through environmental, social and financial stewardship.
