An active lifestyle is a healthy one and the Northbrook Park District has so many ways to boost your well-being this spring.

Resident and non-resident registration for Spring Guide activities is underway. Make this the spring you try something new! Join the Park District’s Adult Softball Leagues starting in April or take up pickleball.

The District also offers a variety of fitness opportunities including Pilates, Yoga and BollyX—a new dance fitness experience. Move to the music March 16 during a free class where you can sample both BollyX and WERQ—a popular cardio dance workout. While visiting the Leisure Center, 3323 Walters Avenue, be sure to check out The Ridge—a convenient and affordable workout space.

This a great time of year to check out Sportsman’s Country Club’s Pre-Season Practice and Instruction. Warm up your swing at the indoor golf instruction studio at Sportsman’s, 3535 Dundee Road. Call 847-291-2351, ext. 3 for rental or lessons.

For children, the District offers cooking, theatre, dance and ceramics classes. Spring is an ideal time to try a new sport, with enrollment open for Lacrosse and Soccer. Deadline to register for Spring Outdoor Soccer Leagues is March 22.

The Park District also offers a variety of arts and crafts classes to help you unwind. Join us at the Senior Center with activities that include exciting day trips, lunches and drop-in programs offering table games, painting, knitting and crocheting, bocce ball and a discussion group. The Senior Center’s Walking Club resumes in April, when members can enjoy weekly walks through the District’s parks. Make sure to visit the Senior Center April 22-26 for Senior Week, where you’ll discover friendships and enjoy special activities daily from 9am-4pm.
