Every Day is Earth Day at Northbrook Park District. The District is steward to over 500 acres of land including 24 parks. Sustainable practices are part of every project from the award winning Net Zero Energy building, Techny Prairie Activity Center, to plans for tree planting, water management, and the reduction of energy consumption across the District.

April 5 • Free Shopping Tote at Leisure Center
April 10 • Free Water Bottle at Sports Center
April 16 • Free Sunglasses at Techny Prairie Activity Center
April 19 • Free Pollinator Seeds at Anetsberger Golf Course
April 26 • Free Insulated Grocery Tote at Heritage Oaks Golf Club

April 30 • Free Park Pick Up Kits Stop by any of our facilities to pick up a free Park Pick Up Kit on Saturday, April 30. The kit will include garbage bags and gloves so you can head to the park near you to help keep it clean. Plus, we’ll throw in some sustainable park district swag to thank you for your efforts. All who pick up a kit will be entered into a drawing for a Northbrook Park District prize pack including pool passes, golf, and other recreation fun!

  • Sunshine Preschool will be planting a new tree for Arbor Day
  • Northbrook Senior Center will be planting Daffodil Bulbs at Leisure Center
  • Boy Scouts will be conducting a clean up at Wood Oaks Green Park
