Round up your little ones for a fun afternoon at the Northbrook Park District’s Early Childhood Fun Fair! In an effort to spread information about the District’s offerings for children five years and younger, staff will be hosting an open-house style event on March 11 at the Northbrook Leisure Center, located at 3323 Walters Avenue.
“The Fun Fair is going to have something for the entire family while highlighting a sampling of the District’s early childhood programs,” said Recreation Supervisor Meghan McCarthy. “Parents will have the chance to speak with our instructors and ask questions while attendees will be able to take part in an interactive activity geared toward each early childhood program.”
Staff will engage children in age-appropriate games and activities while parents interact and learn about the many programs and events available to them and their families. Activities include an air-dry clay craft in the ceramic studio, yoga and sports in the gym, music and dancing in the dance studio and more. Snacks and light refreshments will also be provided in the teaching kitchen. This is a great opportunity to see the variety of amenities the Northbrook Leisure Center has and how they are used for programs and events.
