The Early Childhood Fun Fair is designed to give children, parents and caregivers an informative look at our preschool, enrichment and early childhood programs for children up to 5 years old.
The Northbrook Park District is soliciting nominations for athletes and volunteers who might deserve a spot in its Hall of Fame. More than 60 athletes and volunteers have been inducted since 1978 into the park district’s Hall of Fame, which consists of the Sports Hall of Fame and the Volunteer Hall of Fame. Nomination forms are now available through April 12, 2024.
Young Ben Fingerman will never forget playing baseball at Wrigley Field thanks to the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run program held at the Northbrook Park District. “It was so special, and a memory he will have for a lifetime,” his mother, Jen Fingerman, said. “It is a wonderful experience for your child to test their skills and have fun with friends.”

You can work with kids as a camp counselor, spend time outdoors with landscaping and grounds crews, help families stay safe at the pool, greet the public in customer service, and much more.
This spring, children can experience the joy of playing sports and making new friends in a welcoming environment through lacrosse and soccer leagues at the Northbrook Park District. The park district provides training for all volunteer coaches, along with resources to plan practices and stay up-to-date with game rules.
Northbrook Community Theatre’s next production will be the beloved classic “Fiddler on the Roof,” and community members ages 9 through adults are encouraged to audition March 20 for a variety of roles in the large cast. Northbrook Community Theatre is an initiative of the Northbrook Park District, which is committed to creating a joyful and inclusive performance space for individuals of all skill levels and backgrounds.
“There is nothing more satisfying or rewarding than when you hit a perfect shot, play a perfect hole or shoot a personal best score for 9 or 18 holes,” said Michael Wenzel, director of golf instruction for the Northbrook Park District. Playing the game of golf is not just fun — it satisfies one’s heart and soul.
Come to an open house February 29 to find out about the myriad summer camp options offered by the Northbrook Park District. Families can meet summer camp supervisors and managers to talk about camps focused on arts, sports, STEM, figure skating, dance, theater and more. There will be guided arts and crafts activities for children, so the adults have a chance to obtain information and ask questions. Refreshments will be provided.
