From swing and jazz to rock, soul, pop, country, grunge and even a hip take on classical music, the Northbrook community’s summer date with free outdoor concerts is around the corner.

The Tuesdays in the Park concert series offered by the Northbrook Park District kicks off June 23 and runs through August 4 at Village Green Park at Shermer Road and Meadow Road in downtown Northbrook.

Families are invited to bring chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy entertainment for children starting at 6:30pm and all-ages entertainment starting at 7:15pm.

“This is a great family event for all, from the little ones to grownups. We selected a mix of music to do our best to satisfy all musical interests,” Recreation Manager Nancy Eschker said. “Bring snacks or a picnic dinner, and sit back and relax. Plus, your kids will get all their energy out before bed!”

A variety of sponsors will be present each week with giveaways, and the Northbrook Park District will hold free weekly prize drawings.

In case of inclement weather, we will move inside to the Northbrook Community Center at 3323 Walters Avenue. Space is limited, seats will be first-come, first-served. Check the Statusfy app or visit nbparks.org/status for weather updates.
