Before and After School Care Site Director – The Northbrook Park District seeks motivated, creative, and experienced Directors for the district’s 2009-2010 before and after school care program, Adventure Campus. The Director must possess 2+ years of experience working with school-aged children. The Director is responsible for planning and implementing daily activities for a group of 20-40 school-aged children. Possible daily activities include arts and crafts, athletic games, cooking, science experiments, and other school-aged enrichment activities. The Director is also responsible for leading and directing Adventure Campus staff and communicating with the school staff on a regular basis. Approximately 25 - 30 hours of work per week. Enrollment in a college degree program in education, recreation or related fields (or comparable experience in working with people and programs) is highly desirable. Seeking committed and experienced Dance Instructors for Fall 2009 and Winter/Spring 2010 for the NEW Northbrook School of Dance. Classes offered will be ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, creative movement, musical theatre and combo classes for children/youth/teen. The dance year will end with a Spring recital. The Northbrook Park District seeks an enthusiastic and detailed-oriented Athletic Coordinator. The Athletic Coordinator assists the Leisure Services Supervisors in the planning, organizing and supervising recreational and athletic programs for all ages. Employee administratively supports the Site Directors, Athletic Supervisors, and Athletics & Aquatics Manager during recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of part-time staff. Enrollment in, or graduation from, a college degree program is highly desirable, preferably in Sport Management, Recreation or a related field. Proven knowledge of the following Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook required. Evenings and weekends required.15 hours per week at an hourly base rate of $15.
