Volunteers Wanted: Join our Team!
We love volunteers at the Northbrook Park District! They help keep our programs running smoothly throughout the year and allow us to control costs. Each season, we organize special events for the community that could use your energy and enthusiasm. And, we need coaches for youth sports. If you want to get involved in the community, consider volunteering with the Northbrook Park District. We value your time and talent and will help you find a role that is rewarding and fun.
The Senior Center welcomes volunteers to help with programs, reception, clerical duties, answering phones and setting up for parties and lunches. Each spring, the Northbrook Park District throws a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, with entertainment and a ceremony to thank the volunteers who make the Senior Center a warm and friendly gathering place. If you want to volunteer at the Senior Center, call the office at 847-291-2988.
Volunteer Coaches—Be a Role Model
If you enjoy sports and working with young people, consider becoming a volunteer coach for one of our youth leagues. We’ll provide free clinics to train you, and you’ll play an active role in developing young athletes. Share your love of the game and help spread the word that winning is more about sportsmanship than scores.
Volunteer Coach Requirements
- Prospective coaches are subject to a criminal background investigation. (If you are coaching multiple teams, you only need to fill out one background check form.)
- Attend a meeting to pick up equipment and discuss rules, safety, emergency procedures and expectations.
We invite you to volunteer with the Northbrook Park District and make a difference. Volunteering is fun and rewarding, and we appreciate your help. If you want to help, we want to hear from you, call 847-291-2980.
