Sports & Leagues - Adult Sports & Leagues
The Northbrook Park District offers a variety of adult athletic leagues and programs throughout the year. Some of the sports offered include adult softball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, hockey and kickball.

Adult Softball
Men's 12” & 16” and Co-Rec 14” leagues are offered in the summer and fall. There are a number of different divisions to suit a team of any skill level. Corporate leagues are also offered for area workers who want to play immediately after their business day. All teams play a ten game season during summer and an eight game schedule in the fall. All teams participate in single elimination playoffs. For more information on our adult softball leagues click here.

Men's Basketball
Men’s basketball leagues are offered during the fall, winter/spring and summer. Teams play and 8-10 game regular season followed by playoffs for the top four finishers. Competitive and Recreational/Corporate leagues are available. For more information on our men's basketball leagues click here.

Adult Hockey
The Northbrook Park District offers two seasons per year of Adult Men’s Hockey. The fall/winter season begins the first week in October and goes through April. Each team plays an 18- game season followed by a single elimination play-off, in which all teams compete.

Men’s Lacrosse 35 and Older Recreation League
Teams play an eight-game regular season, followed by playoffs for the top four teams.

Adult Athletic Programs
Men’s Fall Lacrosse Program
Men’s Fall Lacrosse runs Sundays for eight weeks in the fall. Players sign up individually and teams will be made at the start of games each week.
Open Hockey Fitness – Year-round
On Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights, the Northbrook Park District holds open hockey sessions. Players pay a fee, go onto the ice, choose sides and play a game. For more information regarding open hockey click here.

Drop-In Open Badminton – Winter/Spring
Players form teams and play matches. Birdies will be provided; bring your racquet. Pay at the door ($5) and sign the waiver from the gym supervisor. Court use is on a first-come first-served basis.
