Kids Fishing Derby May 22 |

High-level skating, hi-tech special effects, dazzling costumes and great music combine as skating school students perform during Mother’s Day weekend. Northbrook-On-Ice has been called the best amateur ice show in the country. |
With help from volunteers, children can get hooked on fishing and win prizes. The Park District provides rods, and fishing licenses are not needed during the derby. | |

| Local teen bands compete for prizes in Battle of the Bands competition at Village Green Park. (The Park District presents the competition in partnership with the Northbrook Arts Commission and Northbrook Youth Services.) |
Free outdoor concerts at Village Green Park deliver a variety of high-energy music on Tuesday nights. Food service from area restaurants begins at 6pm, and concerts begin at 7pm. | |
